Hinduja Tech Limited, a mobility-focused global engineering and R&D technology company and subsidiary of Ashok Leyland, has appointed Faiz Ahmad as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2026. The appointment follows the planned retirement of current CEO Kumar Prabhas, who will step down from the role on October 31, 2026, after nine years with the company.
Mr Ahmad has nearly two decades of experience within the broader Hinduja Group ecosystem and has held leadership positions spanning engineering, mobility and technology-led business transformation. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Head of Vehicle Engineering & Development at Hinduja Tech, where he has been involved in strengthening engineering capabilities, developing talent and improving operational performance.
The leadership transition follows a period of expansion for Hinduja Tech under Prabhas. During his tenure, the company expanded its international presence, developed customer relationships, broadened its engineering and digital services and completed strategic acquisitions, including DSD and Tecosim. These initiatives expanded the company’s capabilities and supported its development as an engineering and technology partner across multiple industries and global markets.
Kumar Prabhas and Faiz Ahmad will work together through October to facilitate a smooth transition of leadership.
