H&H Aluminium has inaugurated its new Rs 150-crore solar panel frame manufacturing facility in Rajkot, Gujarat, which is set to create jobs for approximately 300 people. The facility, covering an area of 28,000 square meters, boasts a production capacity of 24,000 metric tonnes per year. The new plant is capable of supporting up to 6 GW of solar installations across India.
The facility was officially launched by Union Minister C R Patil, marking a significant milestone for the Gujarat-based company. H&H Aluminium Director Uttam Patel highlighted that the plant is poised to become India’s largest and most advanced solar panel aluminium frame manufacturing unit. The new unit was completed in record time of just about a year.
Trial production began in June 2025, with full-scale commercial production expected to start within a month. At its peak capacity, the plant will generate annual sales of Rs 700-750 crore. The move comes at a time when India imports nearly 90-95% of its aluminium solar panel frames. The new plant aims to boost the domestic manufacturing sector, aligning with the government’s Make in India initiative.
With India’s ambitious target to install 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, including 280 GW from solar power, the solar energy industry presents a significant growth opportunity. “This is a huge opportunity for the solar power sector and its allied industries in the coming 5-10 years,” said Vijay Kaneria, another director of H&H Aluminium.
H & H Aluminium Private Limited, headquartered in Prahladnagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a newly established manufacturer specializing in machinery and equipment fabrication. With an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹10 lakh, the company is actively operated by directors Uttamkumar Shankarlal Patel.
Though still building its market presence, H & H Aluminium has secured substantial bank credit—₹65.85 crore in open charges—through the Ahmedabad Mercantile Cooperative Bank, indicating strong financial backing for future expansions. Focused on the fabrication of metal products, the company is positioning itself within the industrial machinery and metalworking services sector. The company is signaling ambitious plans for growth in Gujarat’s manufacturing landscape.
