HFCL Limited, a leading technology company in telecommunications and network infrastructure, has introduced OptiQ AI™ as the unified brand for its end-to-end optical connectivity portfolio designed to support artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and hyperscale data centre environments. The new brand brings together HFCL’s established range of optical fibre cables, connectivity products and related accessories under a single identity aligned with the evolving demands of next-generation digital infrastructure.

The launch reflects HFCL’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the rapidly expanding AI infrastructure market, where optical connectivity has become a critical component for delivering high-speed, low-latency and scalable network performance. As data centres continue to deploy larger GPU clusters and transition towards 800G and 1.6T network architectures, demand for advanced optical infrastructure is increasing significantly. The OptiQ AI portfolio has been developed to address these requirements by enabling higher bandwidth, greater fibre density, faster deployment and enhanced network reliability for AI-driven computing environments.

The portfolio is built around five core principles—high quality, high bandwidth capability, optimised fibre density, rapid deployment and high network availability. Together, these capabilities are designed to help data centre operators improve operational efficiency while supporting the growing computing requirements of artificial intelligence, machine learning and high-performance computing applications.

At the centre of the offering is HFCL’s Intermittently Bonded Ribbon (IBR) cable technology, which supports ultra-high fibre counts within compact cable designs. The portfolio also includes fibre pigtails, patch cords, high-performance trunk cables, fibre assemblies, high-density cassettes and enclosure panels. The integrated ecosystem is intended to simplify installation, reduce deployment complexity and improve interoperability across large-scale cloud and hyperscale facilities.

Commenting on the launch, Mahendra Nahata, Managing Director, HFCL, said, “Optical connectivity has become one of the defining technologies powering the AI era. As data centres continue to expand and bandwidth requirements grow rapidly, customers need scalable, high-density and dependable optical solutions. OptiQ AI provides a unified identity to our proven portfolio while reflecting our engineering expertise, manufacturing capabilities and long-standing commitment to supporting AI, cloud and hyperscale infrastructure.”

He added that global investment in AI infrastructure is expected to drive substantial growth in the optical connectivity market over the coming years. With manufacturing capabilities in India, strong research and development expertise and a presence in more than 60 countries, HFCL is well positioned to support global demand through a resilient and cost-efficient supply chain.

HFCL serves customers across the telecommunications, enterprise and defence sectors through its portfolio of optical fibre, telecom equipment, network solutions and digital infrastructure technologies. Backed by advanced research and development centres in India, the company continues to develop high-performance networking solutions that support the evolving needs of digital connectivity worldwide.
