Under the banner of ‘Passion for Production,’ Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH inaugurates its 4-day in-house exhibition at its headquarters in Nürtingen. The HELLER Open House, commencing today, is set to showcase the latest 360° solutions geared towards shaping the future of production. Among the highlights are the unveiling of the latest generation F 5000 5-axis machining center and a groundbreaking rack-type tool magazine.

In his opening speech at the 2024 Open House, HELLER CEO Dr. Thorsten Schmidt emphasized the company’s commitment to being the technology partner of choice for its customers. “Our focus is on them and their specific challenges. The HELLER team is passionate about developing the right production solutions for and with our customers,” remarked Dr. Schmidt. The event anticipates a significant turnout of guests from both domestic and international spheres, marking a pivotal moment for the renowned machine manufacturer.

Alongside showcasing the latest technological innovations, the event offers an extensive program featuring presentations on topics such as ‘Digital Twin,’ ‘Automation Solutions,’ ‘Shopfloor Excellence,’ and ‘Technology Excellence.’ Furthermore, guided tours will grant exclusive insights into the realm of HELLER, facilitating dialogue with the HELLER network, including subsidiaries and selected cooperation partners.

One of the main attractions is the debut of the F 5000, a new addition to the 5-axis F series. Equipped with cutting-edge features such as motor spindles with HSK-A-63 tool interface and a space-saving rack-type tool magazine, the F 5000 underscores HELLER’s commitment to precision and performance in production. The machine’s modular design allows for versatility across a spectrum of applications, ensuring maximum efficiency in the production of small to medium batch sizes.

The integration of new rack-type tool systems further enhances the efficiency of HELLER’s machines, maintaining a compact footprint while offering high tool capacity. This innovation facilitates automation, enabling the installation of four machines in a space previously occupied by three. With storage capacities ranging from 200 to 340 tools, the rack-type tool systems optimize tool provisioning times and enhance overall productivity.

HELLER’s automation solutions take center stage at the event, exemplified by the presentation of pallet automation systems and robot cells. These solutions, coupled with digital advancements, contribute to maximum system availability and efficiency, heralding a new era of manufacturing excellence.

The event also underscores HELLER’s commitment to digitalization with the introduction of the digital twin—a virtual representation of machines that aids in simulation, development, and optimization processes. Additionally, innovative assistance systems like SETUP-Assist and ACCURACY-Assist enhance operational efficiency and machine performance.

As a testament to its dedication to customer service, HELLER introduces the HELLER Services Interface and myHELLER customer portal, providing users with intuitive tools for monitoring machine performance and ordering spare parts.
