HCLTech Appoints Jacob Dahl as Independent Director

HCLTech has appointed Jacob Christian Dahl as an Independent Director on its Board with effect from July 13, 2026. The appointment brings to the company a seasoned global business leader with nearly 40 years of experience in banking, corporate strategy, governance, risk management and business transformation.

Jacob Dahl currently serves as an Independent Director at Danske Bank, one of the leading banking groups in the Nordic region. Over the course of his career, he has worked with financial institutions across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, helping them strengthen business strategy, improve operations and adopt new technologies.

A major part of his professional journey was at McKinsey & Company, where he spent more than 25 years and served as a Senior Partner. During his tenure, he held several global leadership positions, including Co-Leader of the Global Banking Practice and Leader of the Asia Banking Practice. He also led McKinsey’s Financial Services practice across Africa, the Middle East and Europe, advising leading banks and financial institutions on strategy, digital transformation, regulatory compliance, governance and risk management.

Before joining McKinsey, Jacob held senior leadership roles in the banking industry. He was Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Basisbank and also served as Head of Corporate and Private Banking at Carnegie. Earlier, he worked at Lannung Bank A/S as Head of Bonds and Managing Director of its stockbroking business.

Roshni Nadar Malhotra, Chairperson of HCLTech, welcomed Jacob Dahl to the Board and said his international experience and leadership across banking and business transformation would further strengthen the company’s governance and support its long-term growth strategy. She added that his global perspective would be valuable as HCLTech continues to expand its technology and AI-driven services worldwide.
