Harbermetal, a China-based manufacturer of Metal Injection Molding (MIM) and powder metallurgy components, will participate in PM CHINA 2027, the 19th China (Shanghai) International Powder Metallurgy & Cemented Carbides Exhibition, from March 24 to 26, 2027, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The company will exhibit at Booth D47.
Harbermetal will display a range of custom precision MIM components for applications across automotive, electronics and electrical appliances, aerospace, hardware and machinery, military equipment, medical devices and other industries. The company plans to present a wider range of MIM parts than at last year’s exhibition, giving visitors an opportunity to examine finished components and understand the manufacturing processes used to produce them.
A key feature of the company’s participation will be the display of two newly installed Shimadzu sintering furnaces imported from Japan. The new equipment has increased Harbermetal’s production capacity for larger orders and helped reduce delivery lead times. According to the company, its previous lead time of around 35 days has been reduced to about 25 days.
Mr Li, General Manager of Harbermetal, said, “Returning to PM CHINA is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our manufacturing capabilities to customers and reinforce our commitment to the global market. Visitors can examine physical parts in person and learn about the sophisticated processes behind precision component manufacturing. Moreover, they can interact with the Harbermetal team to discuss tolerances, yield rates, delivery cycles and return on investment that our company promises to clients.”
At Booth D47, Harbermetal will showcase MIM and powder metallurgy parts made from materials including 316L, 17-4PH and 440C stainless steel, iron-based alloys, sintered bronze, titanium alloys, Kovar and Invar. Finished samples from industrial projects will include lock sliding latches, micro ratchet gears for power tools, miniature sensor components and other near-net-shape parts.
The company operates an integrated manufacturing process covering feedstock compounding, mould design and fabrication, MIM, debinding, vacuum sintering, heat treatment, CNC sizing and surface finishing. Its engineering team also provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) assessment before tooling investment to identify potential issues such as sinter distortion, decarburisation and dimensional shrinkage.
Harbermetal is an ISO-certified powder metallurgy and MIM manufacturer based in South China. The company supplies custom components to OEM and ODM customers in automotive, consumer electronics, power tools, security and precision equipment markets. With nearly 12 years of development, Harbermetal produces about 1,000 tonnes of powder metallurgy structural components annually, with annual output value of around RMB 400 million.
The Sales Director of Harbermetal said the company expects PM CHINA 2027 to provide an opportunity to meet existing overseas customers and engage with new buyers. The company has invited engineers, procurement professionals and industry decision-makers to visit Booth D47 and discuss component drawings, materials, manufacturing processes and project requirements.
