Indian health and wellness company Happy Cultures has crossed an annualised revenue run-rate of ₹50 crore after growing more than fivefold over the past year. The company has also expanded its product portfolio with the launch of four yeast protein-based bars, marking its entry into the everyday snacking category.

The new protein bars are available in four variants: Roasted Coffee, Dark Chocolate & Almonds, Wild Cranberry and Crunchy Peanut Butter. Each bar is priced at a maximum retail price of ₹90. The products will be sold through the company’s website, online marketplaces and quick-commerce platforms, with distribution expected to expand following the launch.

The launch extends Happy Cultures’ existing protein portfolio into a convenient snack format. The company aims to address demand for products that allow consumers to incorporate protein into their daily routines, including at work, while travelling, between meals and around workouts.

Happy Cultures said its growth has been supported by demand across its product categories and an expanding presence across digital sales channels. The company recorded monthly revenue of more than ₹4 crore in both August and September 2026, taking its annualised revenue run-rate above ₹50 crore. Its average order value also increased threefold during the period.

The company’s sales are distributed across multiple online channels, with its website contributing around 30% of revenue, marketplaces accounting for another 30% and quick-commerce platforms contributing the remaining 40%. Happy Cultures’ website attracts more than two lakh visitors each month.

Its product portfolio covers protein, nutritional supplements, gut health, sleep and wellness. According to the company, its melatonin products have achieved bestseller positions across multiple platforms, while its yeast protein products have secured bestseller positions on select platforms. The company has also reported a repeat purchase rate of nearly 25%, indicating that a proportion of customers return to buy its products.

Amit Monteiro, CEO of Happy Cultures, said the company wanted to introduce a differentiated product rather than replicate existing offerings in the protein bar market. “We didn’t want to enter protein bars simply by replicating what already exists in the market. We wanted to bring something distinctive to the category. Yeast protein has been an important part of our innovation journey, and bringing it into a protein bar felt like a natural next step. At the same time, crossing INR 500 million annualised revenue run-rate gives us confidence in the demand we are seeing across our portfolio. Our focus now is to continue identifying what consumers need, build products that genuinely fit into their lives and make health and nutrition more accessible and enjoyable,” Mr Monteiro said.

Happy Cultures generates monthly revenue of more than ₹4 crore with a team of fewer than 30 employees, supported by specialised manufacturing partners. The company’s lean operating model enables it to accelerate product development, respond to consumer feedback and expand products based on market demand. With the launch of its protein bars, Happy Cultures plans to further expand its portfolio across protein, nutritional supplements, gut health, sleep and targeted wellness products to address consumers’ evolving health and nutrition needs.
