HCLTech, a global technology services provider, has been chosen by Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL) to support the digital transformation of its aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations. As part of the engagement, HCLTech will implement its iMRO/4 asset management solution, integrated with SAP S/4HANA, to serve as HAESL’s Maintenance Execution System (MES) at its Hong Kong facility.
The implementation is expected to simplify and optimise HAESL’s MRO workflows, improving operational efficiency and supporting future scalability. The integrated platform will also deliver real-time operational visibility, enabling quicker decision-making, better utilisation of resources and adherence to global aviation and regulatory standards.
Commenting on the collaboration, Ravinder Bedi, General Manager – Finance & Administration, overseeing CFO functions including IT at HAESL, said that customers expect full transparency and consistent quality throughout every shop visit. He noted that integrating iMRO/4 with SAP S/4HANA will strengthen end-to-end traceability and provide a unified view of operations from engine induction to release. This, he added, will remove process bottlenecks, improve execution efficiency and establish a scalable digital foundation to support operational excellence and long-term growth.
Sandeep Sarkar, Senior Vice President, ASEAN, HCLTech, said the partnership represents an important step forward in digital transformation within the aviation sector. By combining HCLTech’s domain expertise in aviation technology with HAESL’s established engine maintenance capabilities, the collaboration aims to deliver real-time operational insights and enhanced efficiency across engine MRO activities. HCLTech’s iMRO/4 solution integrates maintenance execution with enterprise functions such as finance and materials planning, helping organisations reduce turnaround times and operating costs while maintaining regulatory compliance.
