Greenzo Energy, India’s premier indigenous alkaline electrolyzer manufacturer and renewable energy solutions provider, has secured a major Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for a 120 MW ground-mounted solar project in Nepal, valued at Rs. 500 crore. This significant project supports the expansion of Nepal’s clean energy infrastructure and aligns with the nation’s renewable energy goals in South Asia.
Scheduled for phased completion by 2025, the project will consist of 12 clusters, each featuring a 10 MW solar installation. It will be equipped with a high-tension transmission line directly connected to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) grid. The surplus power from these installations will be routed back to the national grid, enhancing energy stability and promoting sustainable access.
Greenzo will act as the EPC provider, leveraging its extensive experience in large-scale solar developments. Sandeep Agarwal, Managing Director of Greenzo Energy India Limited, shared, “This project is a major step in advancing sustainable energy infrastructure and fostering cross-border partnerships. With groundwork underway and the Letter of Credit secured, we’re dedicated to delivering every phase with transparency and precision to meet Nepal’s energy objectives.”
Executive Director Kushal Agarwal added, “This project represents our shared vision for a greener South Asia. Our ongoing collaboration with Nepalese partners will bring community-centered benefits and reinforce Greenzo’s role in the global clean energy sector.”
Having collaborated with Nepalese authorities for over two years, Greenzo is well-prepared to manage this project, from engineering through on-ground installation, with Kushal Agarwal leading operations. The initiative is expected to create over 500 local jobs, contributing to economic growth in the region while strengthening Greenzo’s reputation in renewable energy.
Founded in 2021, Greenzo Energy is dedicated to green hydrogen and renewable energy solutions. With a focus on indigenous technology, including fully modular alkaline electrolyzers, Greenzo has completed over 2000 MW of solar EPC and consultancy projects. Committed to innovation and sustainability, Greenzo is poised to support India’s 2030 green energy goals and bolster the nation’s standing in global green hydrogen production.
