The Storage Solutions business of Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) will showcase its Mobile Pallet Racking and Shuttle Pallet Racking systems at the Intralogistics & Warehousing Expo 2026, scheduled from October 15 to 17 at the Chennai Trade Centre. The solutions are designed to help businesses increase warehouse storage capacity, improve operational efficiency and make better use of available space.
India’s warehousing sector is expanding as manufacturing, e-commerce, retail and logistics businesses increase their operations. With warehousing stock projected to reach 850 million square feet by 2030, companies are looking for ways to accommodate rising inventory volumes while controlling infrastructure costs and improving productivity.
High-density storage systems are gaining importance as land availability becomes more limited and supply chains grow increasingly complex. Mobile Pallet Racking systems allow storage racks to move along designated tracks, reducing the need for multiple fixed aisles. Shuttle Pallet Racking systems use automated or semi-automated shuttles to move pallets within storage lanes, supporting efficient inventory handling and improved space utilisation.
South India is emerging as an important manufacturing and logistics hub, supported by investments in automotive, engineering, electronics, fast-moving consumer goods, food processing, retail and third-party logistics. These industries require flexible warehouse infrastructure that can handle changing inventory levels, improve throughput and support reliable distribution operations.
Vikas Choudaha, Business Head, Storage Solutions, Godrej Enterprises Group, said warehousing infrastructure is becoming increasingly important as India strengthens its position in global manufacturing and logistics. He added that businesses need to improve productivity and storage capacity while making more efficient use of existing facilities.
Choudaha noted that GEG is developing storage and intralogistics solutions to help companies improve warehouse performance and prepare their operations for future growth. The company’s systems are intended to support more efficient supply chains across manufacturing, commerce and distribution.
