Godavari Biorefineries Ltd showcased its integrated bio-manufacturing model at the Bio Innovations APAC 2026, held in Singapore from March 4–5. The company was invited to present its “soil-to-bio-products” framework as part of discussions on building sustainable bio-economy pathways across the Asia-Pacific region.

Representing the company, Dr Sangeeta Srivastava delivered a keynote address and participated in a fireside discussion titled “From the Soil to Valuable Bio-Chemicals and Bio-Products.” The session examined how agricultural resources, biotechnology, and industrial processing can be integrated to produce scalable alternatives to fossil-derived chemicals.

Godavari Biorefineries operates a vertically integrated biorefinery model that converts agricultural feedstocks into multiple categories of bio-based products. These include food ingredients, biofuels, and specialty chemicals that serve industries such as cosmetics, skincare, agrochemicals, adhesives, and coatings. By linking farming ecosystems with advanced industrial biotechnology, the company has developed production pathways designed to support the transition toward renewable carbon sources.

During her keynote, Dr Srivastava highlighted the importance of addressing sustainability across the entire value chain—from agricultural soil management to final product applications. She emphasized that decarbonizing the chemicals sector requires a combination of technologies, operational improvements, and collaborative policy frameworks rather than a single technological breakthrough.

She noted that innovation must extend across feedstock development, production processes, energy efficiency, and regulatory systems. According to her, evaluating carbon at the source—beginning with the field where biomass originates—plays a critical role in designing sustainable industrial solutions. She also underscored the importance of aligning ecological responsibility with economic viability, noting that environmental, social, and governance principles are embedded within the company’s biomass-based growth strategy.

The conference brought together stakeholders from across the Asia-Pacific industrial biotechnology ecosystem, including technology developers, manufacturers, investors, and policy leaders. In addition to keynote sessions, the event facilitated targeted meetings designed to encourage collaboration and partnership development within the sector.

The company’s participation underscores its role in advancing industrial biotechnology and sustainable manufacturing solutions. As global industries accelerate the transition toward renewable carbon systems, Godavari Biorefineries continues to develop integrated approaches that connect agriculture, scientific innovation, and industrial production at scale.
