GIFA Mexico will be the top foundry trade fair for the Mexican and Latin American markets from 16 to 18 October 2024. Held at Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City, the event will showcase technology innovations and sustainable solutions for the international foundry industry.

Mexico’s booming automotive industry, especially the shift from combustion engines to electric mobility and the expansion of the Chinese automotive sector in Latin America, is driving investment in the region. Mexico, a major hub for automobile production, benefits from its long history in vehicle manufacturing and its proximity to the lithium-rich region of Argentina, Bolivia, and Chile, crucial for electric vehicle batteries.

Malte Seifert, Director Metals, Energy & Autonomous Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, highlighted Mexico City as the perfect location for GIFA Mexico, which will also include the well-known foundry trade fair FUNDIEXPO. The event aims to boost international exposure for German and European companies in the Latin American market.

Leading international companies like ASK Chemicals, Bühler, General Kinematics, Haitian, and many others have confirmed their participation. National pavilions from China, Italy, and Spain will also be featured. The trade fair is organized in partnership with the Mexican Foundry Society (SMFAC).

Visitors to GIFA Mexico and FUNDIEXPO can attend 90 lectures on future trends in the foundry industry, with a focus on sustainability. The Global Metallurgy & Foundry Summit will feature presentations from international foundry associations.

Additionally, seminars will offer valuable insights and continuous education for industry professionals. FUNDIEXPO, Mexico’s leading foundry trade fair, is organized by the Mexican Foundry Society (SMFAC) in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf.
