GG Tronics India Private Limited, a subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, announced major progress in the development and field-level validation of the Uniform Braking Algorithm. This work forms part of the initiative led by the Centre of Excellence and RDSO to establish consistent braking parameters across various locomotive classes and vendors. Once fully adopted, this standardised braking system is expected to set a new benchmark for future locomotive operations.

In November 2024, GGT received an order from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works for Loco Kavach systems under the Developmental Category, with a 12-month delivery timeline based on completion of product development, Independent Safety Assessment, RDSO approvals and compliance with Version 4.0. These approval processes are now nearing completion.

Due to procedural timelines, delivery could not commence within the prescribed period, leading to cancellation of the order. However, GGT remains qualified for upcoming tenders under the Developmental Category and, once approvals are finalised, will also be eligible for large-scale procurement—offering the enhanced Uniform Braking Algorithm and full Version 4.0 compliance.
