Gensol Engineering has successfully commissioned a ground-mounted solar power plant in Panchet, located in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. Developed under a INR 40 crore EPC contract, this project highlights Gensol’s ability to handle complex solar installations in challenging environments. The contract also includes five years of operations and maintenance (O&M) support.

Spanning 40 acres, the solar power plant is expected to generate more than 15 million units of clean energy annually for commercial use. The site’s difficult terrain—characterized by loose soil, hard rock formations, and mining excavations—demanded innovative engineering approaches. To optimize performance on the steep landscape, Gensol utilized advanced Mounting Structure Systems (MMS) and high-efficiency photovoltaic modules.

The plant is set to reduce CO₂ emissions by 21,000 metric tonnes annually, making a significant contribution to Jharkhand’s renewable energy goals. It will also enhance the state’s energy security by decreasing reliance on fossil fuels while meeting the growing electricity demand.

Gensol is committed to advancing India’s net-zero objectives through scalable and environmentally sustainable solar projects. Gensol Engineering Limited, based in Ahmedabad, is a prominent player in the renewable energy sector, with a primary focus on solar power.

The company offers engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, as well as consulting solutions for solar energy projects. Gensol’s operations include project execution, asset management, and advisory services, catering to developers, investors, and government entities.

The company has been actively involved in solar projects across India and globally, with expertise in ground-mounted, rooftop, and floating solar installations. Beyond EPC services, Gensol also manages solar assets, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of installed projects.

Recently, Gensol has expanded into the electric mobility sector, venturing into electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing to offer sustainable mobility solutions. This move is in line with the growing trend of combining renewable energy with transportation. Through these strategic financial moves, Gensol Engineering aims to solidify its financial foundation while continuing its commitment to renewable energy and sustainable mobility. The company remains focused on expanding its project portfolio and exploring further opportunities in the clean energy sector.
