FRABA has announced the launch of its new subsidiary, FRABA India Pvt Ltd, based in Pune. This new office marks a strategic move to strengthen regional support for customers of POSITAL and UBITO sensor products across South Asia. The establishment of FRABA India builds on POSITAL’s 25-year presence in the Indian market and reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing service for automation and motion sensing sectors. The new office will work closely with the existing distributor network, offering improved access to technical assistance and sales support.
The decision to expand into India is driven by the region’s rising demand for advanced sensor technologies. With a dedicated local presence, FRABA aims to offer quicker response times, improved communication, and services tailored to the local business environment. “India is a dynamic and fast-growing market. A local presence allows us to serve our customers more effectively and pursue new business opportunities,” said Christian Leeser, CEO of FRABA.
FRABA India will offer a wide range of support services, including product consultation for POSITAL encoders, inclinometers, and linear sensors, as well as support for UBITO’s event sensing and energy harvesting solutions. Additional services will include application engineering, logistics coordination, distributor training, real-time support, and transactions in local currency—all aligned with Indian business hours.
This move is part of FRABA’s broader strategy to expand its footprint across the Asia-Pacific region. As India gains importance as a manufacturing and sourcing hub, the company sees potential for future collaboration with local partners in areas such as sensor design, testing, and software development. The formation of FRABA India Pvt Ltd reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to the region and its intent to support innovation in industrial sensing technologies.
