FPT and Tata Daewoo Mobility Extend Strategic Partnership for Five Years

FPT Industrial and Tata Daewoo Mobility have announced the renewal of their long-standing partnership for an additional five years, reinforcing a collaboration that has consistently delivered strong results over more than two decades. The renewed agreement highlights mutual confidence and a shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and performance in the commercial vehicle sector.

Under the terms of the agreement, FPT Industrial will continue supplying its NEF and CURSOR series engines, ranging from 4 to 13 liters, to power Tata Daewoo Mobility’s DEXEN, KUXEN, and MAXEN truck models. These vehicles have gained a solid reputation in the market for their reliability and performance, supported by FPT’s advanced powertrain technologies.

All engines provided under this partnership comply with Euro VI emission standards, ensuring adherence to stringent environmental regulations and supporting cleaner transportation solutions in South Korea. In addition, the engines meet the latest cybersecurity requirements, including ISO 21434 standards, offering enhanced protection against potential digital threats.

The partnership between the two companies spans over 20 years, during which more than 90,000 engines have been delivered. This long-term collaboration has enabled both organizations to combine expertise and develop efficient powertrain solutions aligned with evolving market demands and sustainability goals, particularly in reducing carbon emissions.

FPT’s research and development center in Gunsan continues to play a crucial role in strengthening this partnership. The facility serves as a hub for engineering collaboration, supporting the co-development of next-generation technologies by integrating local capabilities with global innovation expertise.
