Force Motors Joins Government’s Commercial Vehicle Replacement Scheme for Delhi-NCR

Force Motors Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), Government of India, to participate in the Commercial Vehicle Replacement Scheme for the Delhi-NCR region. The partnership supports the Government’s efforts to accelerate the replacement of older commercial vehicles with cleaner, fuel-efficient alternatives and reduce vehicular emissions across the National Capital Region.

The initiative is aimed at phasing out BS-IV and earlier generation trucks and buses operating in Delhi-NCR and encouraging their replacement with BS-VI-compliant or electric commercial vehicles. The programme forms part of the Government’s broader strategy to improve air quality, modernise the commercial vehicle fleet and promote environmentally sustainable transportation.

Under the agreement, Force Motors will facilitate the implementation of the scheme through its authorised dealership network across the Delhi-NCR region. Eligible fleet operators and commercial vehicle owners will be able to avail themselves of benefits offered by the company in accordance with the guidelines prescribed under the Government’s replacement programme.

Commenting on the development, Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Force Motors Limited, said the company is pleased to support the Government’s initiative to modernise the commercial vehicle fleet in one of the country’s most densely populated regions. He noted that the programme aligns with Force Motors’ commitment to providing cleaner, efficient and technologically advanced mobility solutions for commercial transport.

He added that the company looks forward to working with fleet operators and transport businesses by offering next-generation commercial vehicles that deliver improved performance, lower emissions and enhanced operational efficiency while contributing to the nation’s environmental objectives.

The Commercial Vehicle Replacement Scheme is expected to accelerate the adoption of cleaner transport technologies while reducing pollution caused by ageing heavy commercial vehicles. The initiative also provides an opportunity for fleet owners to upgrade to modern vehicles equipped with advanced emission control systems, better fuel efficiency and improved safety features.
