Flow Safe Inc part of Dresser Utility Solutions, has announced the commissioning of a newly enhanced clean room at its Orchard Park, New York facility, significantly expanding its in-house oxygen cleaning capabilities. The purpose-built clean room enables Flow Safe to perform oxygen cleaning processes entirely on-site, ensuring improved quality control and strict adherence to contamination standards. The facility operates in accordance with recognized industry benchmarks, including CGA G-4.1, ASTM G93, ASTM A967, and ISO 14644-1 cleanliness classifications.
The oxygen cleaning process is conducted by specially trained technicians using advanced techniques such as ultrasonic heated cleaning systems, controlled rinsing, oil-free compressed air drying, and both white light and ultraviolet inspections to detect and eliminate microscopic contaminants. After cleaning, valves are carefully packaged using sealed, double-bagged methods and labeled to preserve cleanliness during storage and transportation. Each product is delivered with an Oâ‚‚ Clean certification tag verifying its suitability for oxygen service.
Mohammed Khan, Global Product Line Director at Flow Safe, stated that the expansion enhances the company’s ability to maintain stringent quality standards while improving responsiveness to growing demand in oxygen and hydrogen applications. He emphasized that the investment supports the delivery of high levels of safety, reliability, and performance required in critical environments.
