Flender has officially launched “AIQ on Tour,” an ambitious twelve-month European roadshow designed to deliver advanced condition monitoring technology directly to customer sites. Departing from its headquarters in Bocholt, the AIQ truck began its journey with a clear mission: to make intelligent drive technology accessible, practical, and easy to experience on-site.
Traditionally, companies rely on trade shows to explore new industrial solutions. Flender is redefining this approach by bringing its innovations straight to operational facilities. The centerpiece of this initiative is a specially equipped vehicle that combines the appearance of a motorhome with the functionality of a mobile demonstration hub. Inside, customers can engage with live systems, real-time monitoring tools, and expert guidance from Flender’s AIQ specialists.
At the core of the tour is AIQ, Flender’s intelligent condition monitoring system. Designed to digitalize the drivetrain, AIQ continuously tracks key operating parameters such as vibration, temperature, and rotational speed. By comparing real-time data with predefined benchmarks, the system identifies deviations early and provides actionable recommendations. This predictive capability helps prevent unexpected failures, enabling companies to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime by up to 70 percent, while lowering maintenance costs by as much as 40 percent.
Unlike conventional demonstrations, AIQ on Tour allows customers to see the technology in action within their own environment. Using actual machinery and real operating conditions, the experience offers immediate relevance and practical insight. The initiative eliminates the need for travel while ensuring direct interaction with technical experts.
The tour features AIQ Core for industrial gear units and AIQ Detect for couplings in the N-EUPEX and RUPEX series. Both solutions can be retrofitted into existing systems with minimal effort, typically requiring less than an hour for installation.
As part of the program, selected customers will have the opportunity to test installations at their facilities at no cost. The AIQ systems support multiple connectivity options, including WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth, OPC-UA, cloud integration, and both analog and digital interfaces, ensuring seamless integration into existing control infrastructures.
Over the next year, the tour will span more than 15 countries and serve a wide range of industries, including cement, mining, energy, water management, and material handling. Following stops in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, and the Netherlands, the route will continue through France, Spain, Italy, and Austria, before expanding to the United Kingdom, Turkey, and the Czech Republic in 2027.
