India’s vault to emerge as a global sports manufacturing hub boosted with the stationing of the foundation stone for ‘EVERTRADE India,’ a footwear manufacturing unit near Bhubaneshwar, Odisha under the leadership of NRI Entrepreneur Niren Anand.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on the occasion of the 12th phase of the groundbreaking ceremony organized on 23 July, laid the foundation stone of Evertrade’s Make in India footwear manufacturing unit at Khurda, Odisha.
Based out of Xiamen, China Evertrade is a Global footwear manufacturer, founded by NRI Entrepreneur Niren Anand. The event comprised inaugurations of 3 industrial projects and groundbreakings of 11 industrial units. Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, under the companionship of Bipin Bihari Prasad and Lalita Rani laid the foundation stone of the Evertrade India footwear manufacturing unit.

Niraj Anand, Head of Evertrade India played a major role in setting up the initial manufacturing roadmap of Evertrade in India. Seeking two-way cooperation, from the government to industry’s side and from industry to government’s side, Niren Anand, during an exclusive conversation with Machine Maker said, “We look ahead to bring the technology transfer from China to India with the development of the high technology machinery.”
Evertrade, a China-based footwear manufacturing leader is coming ahead to set up a footwear manufacturing unit at Champajhar, Khordha, with an investment of ₹62.44 crores. The manufacturing unit, which is to be set up will provide employment opportunities to more than 600 persons.
The project of setting up the footwear manufacturing unit has been provided with indispensable support from Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister, Odisha, Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra, Energy, Industry and MSME Minister of Odisha, Nitin Jawale, Managing Director, IPICOL and Raja Singh Khurana of Invest India.

For many years, the focus of the Odisha government has shifted to give headway to manufacturing and industrial growth to build a strong base for the native industries to find opportunities in the global manufacturing world. Preceding, Evertrade has already signed into an agreement with Odisha during an event, ‘Invest in Odisha,’ which was organized to attract Chinese investors to Indian industries.
“We are excited to make India a global sports manufacturing hub. Over the years, Evertrade is proactively catering to the footwear design and manufacturing across the globe”, said Niren Anand. As an extension of this vision, Evertrade is looking ahead to set up the footwear manufacturing unit soon, which is now in progress.
