EPACK Durable, a prominent name in the air conditioning industry, has forged a significant strategic partnership with Panasonic Life Solutions India Private Limited. This collaboration aims to manufacture essential components specifically designed for Panasonic’s Room Air Conditioners (RACs).

As part of this strategic alliance, EPACK will function as an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider for Panasonic, focusing on the production of PCB controllers for air conditioning units, along with other critical components such as heat exchangers, cross-flow and propeller fans, injection molded components, and copper parts. This agreement represents a pivotal moment for EPACK as it continues to expand its footprint in the EMS sector.

Bajrang Bothra, the Executive Chairman of EPACK, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “This business awarded by Panasonic marks a defining moment for EPACK.” He highlighted the rising demand for energy-efficient, inverter-based Room Air Conditioners in India, noting, “The need for top-tier PCBA Controllers has never been greater.”

In the context of air conditioning systems, the PCB controller serves as the ‘brain’ of an inverter AC, making it a vital and high-value component in the overall operation of these units. Since March 2023, EPACK has been engaged in producing these advanced controllers at its Bhiwadi facility, initially catering to its internal needs.

However, with this new partnership, the company is now poised to leverage its cutting-edge production capacity to manufacture Inverter PCBA controllers not only for Panasonic but also for other prominent clients in the industry. This ambitious initiative will allow EPACK to expand its product offerings within the EMS segment significantly.

Ajay DD Singhania, Managing Director & CEO of EPACK, described this development as ‘transformative.’ He noted that the transition from producing PCB Controllers for internal use to becoming a key supplier for a leading player like Panasonic reflects EPACK’s evolution and growth within the market. “This opportunity in the EMS sector opens new avenues for growth and innovation for EPACK Durable,” Singhania added, emphasizing the long-term potential of this partnership.

The strategic agreement with Panasonic not only showcases EPACK’s commitment to innovation but also underlines its ability to adapt to the dynamic demands of the air conditioning market. The shift towards energy-efficient technologies is driving a new era of growth for the industry, and EPACK is well-positioned to meet this challenge.

In terms of market performance, shares of EPACK Durable have experienced impressive growth, doubling in value so far this year, with a notable surge since September. Currently, the company boasts a market capitalization of approximately Rs 4,000 crore. This upward trajectory is indicative of investor confidence in EPACK’s strategic direction and its potential to capitalize on emerging opportunities within the air conditioning sector.

As EPACK Durable continues to innovate and expand its offerings, the future looks bright for this key player in the EMS landscape. EPACK Durable is a leading player in the air conditioning sector, specializing in manufacturing advanced components for HVAC systems.

With a focus on innovation and quality, the company offers products such as PCB controllers, heat exchangers, and fans. EPACK Durable is committed to expanding its footprint in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sector, providing essential solutions for energy-efficient cooling technologies.
