Serentica Renewables announced on Tuesday that it has entered into an agreement with Envision Group for the supply of wind turbines for its upcoming 560 megawatt (MW) renewable energy project. The project, which spans across the states of Karnataka and Maharashtra, will see delivery of the turbines begin in February 2026, the company said in an official statement.

Envision Energy India, the local arm of the global equipment manufacturer, will deliver 112 wind turbine units, each with a rated capacity of 5 MW. Serentica did not disclose the financial terms of the supply deal. The wind turbines will play a key role in generating electricity from wind energy, forming a central part of the project’s overall capacity.

Commenting on the development, Akshay Hiranandani, Chief Executive Officer of Serentica Renewables, said the collaboration supports India’s broader renewable energy ambitions. Power generated from the project will be directed towards industrial consumers.

Envision Energy is a global leader in green technology, delivering renewable energy solutions to enterprises, governments, and institutions worldwide. Its core business spans three major sectors—Smart Wind Turbines, Energy Storage, and Green Hydrogen Solutions—through which it provides integrated pathways for energy transformation. The company also manages the Envision-Hongshan Carbon-Neutral Fund and owns the Envision Racing Formula E team, which clinched the Formula E Teams’ Championship in 2023.

The company has earned international recognition for its sustainability achievements, receiving the EcoVadis Gold Medal, inclusion on the CDP “A-List”, and a place in Fortune’s “Change the World” list. It has also been ranked among the Top 10 Smartest Companies by the MIT Technology Review, underscoring its leadership in innovation and environmental responsibility.

With a strong global presence, Envision Energy operates R&D and engineering centers across China, the United States, the UK, France, Germany, Denmark, and beyond. In 2021, the company joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), pledging alignment with the “Business Ambition for 1.5°C”. It achieved carbon neutrality across global operations in 2022 and is targeting full value chain carbon neutrality by 2028.

Since entering the Indian market in 2016-17, Envision has built a strong reputation as a trusted energy solutions partner, delivering high-performance Smart Wind Turbines and Battery Energy Storage systems. With over 30 IPP customers and an order book exceeding 16 GW, the company now operates 60+ project sites across seven wind-rich states.

It has manufactured over 4.5 GW and commissioned more than 2 GW of wind capacity in India. Backed by INR 500 crore investment, Envision established 3 GW per annum blade manufacturing in Trichy and nacelle & hub assembly in Pune, creating 3,000+ jobs. Further investment of INR 500 crore is underway to set up a second blade plant in Gujarat, doubling employment opportunities.

Over the last nine years, Envision has introduced three turbine platforms in India—from the EN131/2.5 MW in 2017, to the EN156/3.3 MW in 2021, and most recently securing RLMM approval for the EN182/5.0 MW in 2025. Alongside wind solutions, Envision is expanding its Battery Energy Storage business, with orders totaling ~1.5 GWh, further strengthening its role in advancing industrial decarbonization and supporting customers on their Net Zero journey.

Established in 2022, Serentica Renewables focuses on providing firm, dispatchable green energy solutions to decarbonise energy-intensive industries. The company aims to scale up to 17 GW of operational capacity by 2030, integrating large-scale storage systems such as pumped storage projects (PSPs) and battery energy storage systems (BESS). At full scale, Serentica expects to supply over 50 billion units of clean power annually, helping offset nearly 47 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
