The ENGEL Group, one of Europe’s foremost providers of injection moulding technology, has entered into a strategic partnership with Electronica Plastic Machines (EPM), a respected Indian manufacturer of hydraulic injection moulding equipment. By acquiring a stake in EPM, the company officially becomes part of the ENGEL Group, opening the door to deeper collaboration in India.

EPM, a second-generation family-run enterprise headquartered in Pune, has been a recognised name in India’s plastics machinery sector for over three decades. Both ENGEL and EPM share a commitment to family-driven values, responsible business practices, and a people-centric work culture—forming a strong base for this long-term partnership.

Under this collaboration, ENGEL and EPM will focus on building advanced local production capacities aligned with the “Make in India” initiative. EPM’s Pune plant will serve as the manufacturing hub for technologically advanced injection moulding machines designed specifically for Indian industry needs. The partnership also paves the way for exporting these India-made machines to regions such as the Middle East and Africa.

Customers can expect improved access to cutting-edge technology, faster deliveries, competitively priced solutions, and more responsive service support. The combined strengths of ENGEL’s global engineering leadership and EPM’s strong presence in India will contribute to an expanded product offering and improved customer experience.

Aditya Ratnaparkhi will continue as Managing Director of EPM, ensuring seamless continuity in business operations. While EPM retains its identity and autonomy, it will benefit from ENGEL’s worldwide network, knowledge base, and technical resources.

“Our aim is to support EPM’s growth while respecting the strong foundation it has built,” said Dr. Stefan Engleder, CEO of ENGEL Group. “Our shared values equip us to pursue long-term, sustainable success together.”

Reaffirming this, Aditya Ratnaparkhi noted, “This collaboration enables us to combine ENGEL’s strengths with EPM’s established legacy and market insights.”

This partnership marks an important milestone in ENGEL’s regional expansion strategy, equipping both companies to develop locally relevant, technologically advanced solutions and drive innovation across the Indian plastics industry. ENGEL Group is a globally recognized manufacturer of injection molding machines and automation systems, known for delivering advanced, energy-efficient solutions to plastics processors around the world.

Headquartered in Austria, the company operates multiple production plants and service hubs across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, supporting customers in sectors such as automotive, packaging, medical technology, and consumer goods. ENGEL’s portfolio spans fully integrated manufacturing cells, smart factory technologies, and digital platforms designed to optimize productivity and sustainability. With a strong focus on innovation, reliability, and customer partnership, ENGEL continues to shape the future of injection molding through cutting-edge engineering and industry-leading expertise.
