Elecon Engineering Company Limited, one of Asia’s leading providers of industrial gear solutions and material handling equipment, has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter and nine months ended 31 December 2025. For the third quarter of FY26, standalone revenue stood at ₹429 crore, compared to ₹423 crore in Q3 FY25, reflecting largely flat growth.
The muted performance was mainly due to slower order inflows during the first half of FY26, which affected execution timelines and led to changes in dispatch schedules at customer end. Despite this, demand from domestic sectors such as power, steel, cement, and material handling equipment (MHE) remained stable.
EBIT for Q3 FY26 was ₹78 crore versus ₹118 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with an EBIT margin of 18.2%. Margins were impacted by flat revenue, higher employee costs, and changes in the product mix. Management noted that a healthy order book and strong enquiry levels provide clear visibility for revenue improvement and margin recovery in the coming quarters.
On a consolidated basis, Elecon reported revenue of ₹552 crore for Q3 FY26, marking a year-on-year growth of 4.3%. EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹109 crore, translating into an EBITDA margin of 19.8%. Profit after tax was ₹72 crore, with a PAT margin of 13.0%. Order intake during the quarter was ₹701 crore, and the order book as of 31 December 2025 stood at ₹1,372 crore.
Commenting on the performance, Shri Prayasvin B. Patel, Chairman & Managing Director, stated that the company’s strong order book and positive order inflow outlook across domestic and international markets provide confidence for sustained growth. He highlighted that Elecon continues to maintain its leadership position in India in both industrial gear solutions and material handling equipment, while also expanding its overseas footprint.
During the quarter, the Material Handling Equipment division delivered a robust performance, with revenue of ₹123 crore, up 16.3% year-on-year, and an EBIT margin of 20.2%. The company expects steady growth in this segment, supported by focused product offerings and expansion of aftermarket services.
The Gear division reported revenue of ₹429 crore, up 1.3% year-on-year, with an EBIT margin of 18.2%. Demand remains healthy in both domestic and export markets. In India, ongoing investments in steel, power, and cement sectors are expected to support growth, while overseas markets are showing gradual recovery with encouraging enquiry trends. Elecon continues to work towards its goal of generating 50% of consolidated revenue from international markets by FY30, supported by stronger relationships with global OEMs, brand-building initiatives, and continued investments in manufacturing and R&D.
