Swiss electronics inspection technology company Delvitech has announced plans to establish a new manufacturing and technology facility in Bengaluru with an initial investment of US$10 million and a total planned investment of US$25–30 million. The facility will strengthen the company’s commitment to Make in India and support its long-term growth in the country.
Spread across 65,000 sq. ft., the facility is expected to become operational in the first quarter of calendar year 2027. It will support manufacturing, engineering, research and development, technology integration and customer support activities. The facility is expected to create 500–800 jobs over the next five years, while helping develop specialised skills in manufacturing, engineering and technical operations. The company plans to maintain the quality and manufacturing standards associated with its Swiss engineering heritage.
Delvitech also showcased its latest Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) solutions at productronica India 2026 in Bengaluru. Its product portfolio on display included Horus, Aton and Horus Dual Lane. The company demonstrated how AI-based inspection can help electronics manufacturers improve production efficiency, quality, traceability and sustainability.
Roberto Gatti, Founder and CEO, Delvitech SA, said: “India is one of our priority markets, and the country has made significant progress in manufacturing capabilities over the past few years, with electronics at the centre of this growth. We see enormous potential here, not only as a manufacturing base but increasingly as a hub for R&D and innovation. Our customers did not just ask us to be present in India; they asked us to be closer to them. Bengaluru is our answer.”
Vasanth Kumar, Head of Asia Operations, Delvitech, said: “India is fast becoming a global centre for electronics manufacturing and innovation. Establishing manufacturing capabilities here reflects our confidence in this growth. The new facility will bring precision machining, metrology and equipment integration under one roof, allowing us to control quality and tolerances at every stage, reduce lead times and provide local engineering support. We are investing in India for the long term, building a facility that goes beyond assembly to deliver manufacturing, technology and customer value locally.”
The Bengaluru plant will have in-house Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and metrology equipment to inspect critical components and maintain accuracy, repeatability and compliance. The facility will also integrate mechanical, electrical, optical, software and control systems. Engineering and R&D teams will support product localisation and continuous improvement. A dedicated demonstration area will allow customers to evaluate and test Delvitech’s inspection machines locally.
With Indian OEMs and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies expanding production and adopting higher levels of automation and traceability, Delvitech expects the facility to improve local access to its inspection technologies and technical support.
Delvitech develops AI-native 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry. Its technology combines artificial intelligence with advanced optics to provide inspection capabilities across a wide range of PCB components and assemblies.
The company’s platform is designed to detect defects and provide inspection intelligence that can help manufacturers improve quality, production efficiency and process control. Its technology covers components ranging from ultra-thin transparent adhesives and micro-pitch connectors to mechanical and plastic parts.
Delvitech focuses on using AI to move inspection from defect detection towards predictive quality control. Since 2023, the company has been certified for Quality and Environmental Management under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. In January 2025, Delvitech SA received the SEF.Growth High-Potential Label from the Swiss Economic Forum, recognising its growth potential and strategic direction.
