Danfoss India’s Power Electronics & Drives (DPD) Supply Chain has celebrated its 10th anniversary of manufacturing in India. Since it began operations in 2014, Danfoss has played a crucial role in improving energy efficiency in major projects across the country. These projects include the Jammu Baramulla Railway Line, the first underwater railway tunnel in Kolkata, Pune Airport, and various educational campuses like IIM and AIMS.
The 10-year milestone was marked with an event at the Danfoss plant in Chennai. Key figures from Danfoss, including Mika Kulju, President & Global Head of Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives Segment, and Ravichandran Purushothaman, President of Danfoss India Region, were present. They praised the team’s achievements and dedication.
At the event, Danfoss unveiled a Milestone Board to celebrate the contributions of the past decade and honored employees who have been with the company for 25 years. Mika Kulju expressed admiration for the Indian team’s enthusiasm and hard work, noting that it has been inspiring and crucial for the company’s growth. He looked forward to more success in the coming years.
Since starting with a small team of four at the Oragadam campus, Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives has grown to over 50 members. It has become a key global hub for producing various drive products used in industries like water treatment, HVAC, and automation.
Ravichandran Purushothaman highlighted the team’s commitment to excellence and their focus on energy efficiency and localization. The company aims to meet the growing demand for sustainable solutions and continue supporting its customers.
