Danfoss India has launched a new line of industrial refrigeration valves—the STL series—developed and manufactured entirely in India. The new valve family was introduced at REFCOLD India 2025, South Asia’s leading refrigeration and cold-chain exhibition, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from September 18 to 20. The launch was attended by industry stakeholders, including Jasmohan Singh, Managing Director of Frick India Ltd, underlining strong industry support for Danfoss’s efforts to expand local capabilities in the cold-chain segment.

Madhur Sehgal, Head of Climate Solutions Sales at Danfoss India, described the STL series as a step forward in refrigeration valve technology tailored for India’s needs. “The STL range has been built to meet the demands of India’s growing cold-chain industry. With a focus on modularity, easy maintenance, and reliability, these valves help reduce system downtime, improve energy efficiency, and increase operational life. Whether it’s fruits, vegetables, dairy, or seafood—STL valves ensure consistent and efficient performance.”

Ravichandran Purushothaman, President of Danfoss India and Chairman of CII’s National Committee on Cold Chain, emphasized the importance of REFCOLD as a platform for industry progress “REFCOLD continues to bring together key voices from the policy, industry, and technology sectors to address India’s cold-chain challenges. With the STL valve family, developed locally to meet international benchmarks, we are contributing to food security, lowering post-harvest losses, and advancing sustainable practices in refrigeration.”

Built to support India’s cold storage infrastructure, the STL valves are especially suited for applications requiring stable and efficient temperature control. From bulk storage hubs in northern India to multi-use cold storage facilities nationwide, STL brings the advantages of local production—faster delivery, simplified servicing, and reduced operational costs.

Anju Mary Kuruvilla, Director of Industry & Public Affairs at Danfoss India, highlighted the significance of this local development:“This launch is another step toward our ‘Make in India’ vision. Locally manufactured products like the STL valve series allow quicker market response, lower total cost of ownership, and better on-ground support for our customers. It’s about delivering global-quality solutions with Indian engineering.”

With this product introduction at REFCOLD 2025, Danfoss India has reaffirmed its leadership in refrigeration and its focus on localized, sustainable technology that supports a stronger and more reliable cold-chain network across the country.
