Daimler Truck and Roshel have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a strategic partnership framework focused on the joint development, production, marketing and lifecycle support of protected and armoured vehicle solutions for defence and security customers worldwide. The agreement was formalized during Eurosatory 2026, one of the world’s leading defence and security exhibitions, and marks a significant step in expanding cooperation between the two companies.

The partnership is designed to address increasing global demand for advanced protected mobility platforms as governments continue to strengthen defence readiness, operational resilience and domestic industrial capabilities. Under the collaboration, Daimler Truck and Roshel will combine their respective strengths to deliver integrated mobility solutions tailored to the evolving requirements of military and security forces.

Daimler Truck will contribute its extensive portfolio of military-grade vehicle platforms, engineering expertise and industrial manufacturing capabilities, while Roshel will provide specialized knowledge in armoured vehicle design, systems integration, protection technologies and rapid production. The partnership will draw on Daimler Truck’s established military vehicle range, including the Zetros, Unimog, Arocs and FGA platform families. These platforms have earned recognition for their durability, versatility and performance across a broad range of operational environments. Combined with Roshel’s expertise in armoured vehicle development and mission-specific customization, the collaboration aims to deliver highly capable solutions that meet modern defence and security requirements.

Dennis Kinzelmann, Chief Executive Officer of Daimler Truck Defence, said, “By working with Roshel, we are combining complementary capabilities to provide defence and security customers with protected mobility solutions. Daimler Truck contributes proven vehicle platforms and industrial capabilities, while Roshel brings expertise in armoured vehicles, operational experience and rapid delivery capabilities. Together, we offer allied governments an integrated solution.”

The agreement outlines several areas of cooperation, including vehicle development, industrialization, localized production, lifecycle support, maintenance and long-term sustainment services. These capabilities are expected to provide customers with comprehensive support throughout the operational life of their fleets while enhancing readiness and mission effectiveness.

The strategic partnership will focus on serving defence and security organizations across NATO member nations, Europe, North America and other allied markets. By combining advanced vehicle technologies with scalable manufacturing and support capabilities, the two companies aim to strengthen supply chain resilience and support national defence modernization efforts.
