The sixth edition of Cosmoprof India has opened its doors at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, reaffirming its position as India’s leading B2B beauty exhibition and a key entry point for global beauty brands seeking to tap into one of the fastest-growing markets in the world. The event is organized by Cosmoprof India Ltd, a partnership between BolognaFiere Cosmoprof and Informa Markets India, and represents a significant step forward in the show’s ongoing expansion and international recognition.
Since its first edition in 2019, Cosmoprof India has grown rapidly, nearly doubling its floor space. The 2025 showcase now covers 24,000 square meters—an 8% rise from last year—and spans five halls featuring the full spectrum of the beauty and personal care industry. A total of 353 exhibitors and 800 brands from 23 markets are participating, with 32% joining the show for the first time. International presence remains strong and continues to increase year after year, with overseas exhibitors now making up 53% of the show.
This year’s exhibition features the complete beauty value chain. Cosmopack India represents 59% of the event, highlighting suppliers of raw materials, advanced machinery, innovative packaging, contract manufacturing and private-label solutions. The remaining 41%—Cosmoprof India—spotlights finished product companies across skincare, fragrances, cosmetics, professional haircare, nails, salon products and spa solutions for both B2B and B2C channels. Organizers anticipate more than 14,000 visitors, including industry buyers, distributors, retailers and professionals exploring new partnerships and product launches.
The international scale of the event is further strengthened by nine official Country Pavilions, with participation from Australia, Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan Region and the United Kingdom. Italy has been named the Country of Honor for 2025. The Italian Pavilion, arranged by ITA–Italian Trade Agency alongside Cosmetica Italia, highlights Italy’s renowned craftsmanship, design culture and advanced cosmetic technology.
“The steady and impressive expansion of Cosmoprof India reflects the increasing global focus on India’s beauty sector,” said Enrico Zannini, General Manager of BolognaFiere Cosmoprof. “India is evolving at extraordinary speed, driven by young consumers, rising spending power and strong interest in innovation, sustainability and wellness. Our global network continues to draw top-tier brands and influencers to Mumbai each year.”
Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director of Informa Markets in India, added “India is at a turning point in its beauty evolution. With projections placing the country as the world’s third-largest beauty and personal care market by 2030—and the premium category growing at 13–15% annually—the opportunity for new concepts, technologies and brand expansion is enormous. Cosmoprof India serves as a crucial platform for collaboration, business acceleration and industry leadership.”
Speaking about the transformation of the premium salon landscape, Vipul Chaturvedi, CEO & Director of Lakmé Salons, noted “Demand for high-performance skincare, hair and makeup services is surging. Over the last 12–18 months, we’ve expanded our advanced service segment, introduced new treatments and partnered with leading Korean experts for our exclusive K’essence range. Nearly 40% of our outlets now feature our updated design format, and customer engagement has significantly improved.”
Highlighting the role of digital innovation, Renu Kant, Founder of Envi Salon, shared “Artificial intelligence will redefine beauty services through hyper-personalization. By anticipating preferences and analyzing behavioral patterns, AI can help salons offer tailored solutions before the customer even arrives. From virtual consultations and diagnostics to curated recommendations and service reminders, AI enhances every stage of the customer journey and elevates service excellence.”
