Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, a subsidiary of Cosmo First Limited, has introduced an expanded portfolio of high-performance masterbatches, strengthening its position in specialty chemicals and value-added polymer solutions. The new range is designed to improve product quality, processing efficiency and durability for customers across packaging and plastics applications.
The portfolio includes CosmoWhite, a premium line of white masterbatches for polypropylene and polyethylene. Formulated with high concentrations of titanium dioxide, CosmoWhite delivers strong opacity, brightness, UV protection and thermal stability. The range is suited for demanding applications such as BOPP films, blown films, extrusion coating, injection moulding, non-woven fabrics, raffia products and pail containers.
Cosmo Speciality Chemicals has also launched CosmoAdd, a complementary range of additive masterbatches developed to improve processing performance and end-use characteristics. Designed mainly for flexible packaging in BOPP, CPP and blown film segments, CosmoAdd includes cavitating agents, antiblock additives, antistatic and slip additives, polymer processing aids, antioxidants, clarifiers, matt compounds and solutions for synthetic paper. The portfolio is aimed at helping manufacturers address production challenges while improving product consistency and appearance.
Raj Sharma, Business Head of Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, said the new offerings reflect the company’s focus on developing advanced specialty products for the polymer and packaging industries. He noted that the combined CosmoWhite and CosmoAdd ranges are intended to help manufacturers achieve improved functionality, efficiency and long-term performance in their products.
The launch supports Cosmo First Limited’s strategy of expanding its specialty chemicals business alongside its core specialty films operations. The division, established in FY21, is supported by research and development facilities that focus on new product design and customised formulations for domestic and export markets.
