Cosmo Films, a global leader in specialty packaging films, has strengthened its flexible packaging offerings with the launch of a new range of BOPP, CPP, and BOPET films developed specifically for pet food applications. The expanded portfolio includes a high heat-resistant TR-BOPP film, along with enhanced barrier and lidding solutions designed to meet evolving market requirements.
India’s pet food segment is witnessing rapid growth, driven by increasing pet ownership and premium product demand. This expansion has intensified the need for packaging that ensures safety, freshness, and shelf-life stability—areas where Cosmo Films’ new solutions are designed to deliver value.
The newly introduced TR-BOPP transparent film withstands temperatures up to 185°C and offers consistent linear tear performance, providing an effective alternative to traditional PET print layers. Additional offerings include anti-fog BOPET lidding films, COPET-coated BOPET for improved machinability, and coated metallised BOPET films delivering strong oxygen and moisture barriers. For dry pet food and treats, Ultra High Barrier metallised BOPP films offer a sustainable substitute for aluminium foil, while retort-grade CPP films cater to ready-to-eat pet food requiring high-temperature processing.
