Cosmic PV Power Ltd, a leading solar panel manufacturer, has announced it has secured a significant order worth approximately INR 600 crore from Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses for the supply of solar modules. This marks the company’s formal entry into the Independent Power Producer (IPP) market. Previously, Cosmic PV primarily served mid-sized EPC contractors and select OEMs, but this major order represents a strategic shift toward large-scale, utility-based projects.
Company leadership shared that this deal has already led to strong inquiries from other large IPPs, a direct result of the networks and relationships activated by this order. With more significant orders expected in the coming months, Cosmic PV is poised for rapid growth in the next 1-2 years.
Jenish Ghael, Chairman of Cosmic PV Power, expressed pride in the achievement, crediting the team’s dedication and customer relationships for securing the Zetwerk order. Dispatches for this order have already begun, and the company is focused on ensuring timely and smooth delivery.
Shravan Gupta, Managing Director of Cosmic PV Power, commented, “This order demonstrates our capacity to handle large-scale supply commitments and solidifies our position in the utility and IPP sectors. With our production capacity and an expanding project pipeline, Cosmic PV is an emerging force to watch in the coming years.”
It is important to note that the final transaction value of the order will be subject to GST adjustments, as the purchase order was received in June 2025. The GST rate for renewable energy equipment was reduced from 12% to 5% as of September 22, 2025.
In just two years, Cosmic PV Power has become one of India’s fastest-growing renewable energy manufacturers, expanding from a 200 MW solar module producer to a 3 GW integrated gigafactory. Of this, 1.3 GW is already included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM), with the remaining capacity in the process of being listed.
The company has also recently secured 60 acres of land in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, allocated by the state government, where it plans to build a new 4 GW solar cell manufacturing facility. Additionally, Cosmic PV has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indygreen Technologies to establish a 2 GW lithium-ion battery production line for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with the facility expected to be operational by March 2026.
With these upcoming projects, Cosmic PV is positioning itself as a vertically integrated player in the clean energy sector, covering the entire solar and energy storage value chain. These rapid expansions not only bolster India’s renewable manufacturing ecosystem but also align with the country’s broader goals of energy independence and achieving net-zero emissions.
