Control Devices has acquired Solenoid Solutions, an Erie, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer specializing in solenoid valve technology, strengthening its portfolio of engineered flow control products and expanding its capabilities across industrial and specialized applications. The acquisition adds Solenoid Solutions’ range of two-way, three-way and proportional solenoid valves, along with custom manifolds and related product development expertise, to Control Devices’ existing solutions portfolio. The Erie facility also brings design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities that complement Control Devices’ current operations.

Through the acquisition, Control Devices plans to leverage its established commercial network to expand the availability of Solenoid Solutions products across additional customer segments and markets. The combined product portfolio will support applications in industries including medical equipment, food service and appliances, instrumentation, industrial cooling systems and transportation.

Solenoid Solutions’ vertically integrated manufacturing operations will further complement Control Devices’ production capabilities, enabling the combined organization to provide a broader range of engineered flow control solutions while supporting customer requirements from product design through manufacturing.

Jim Norris, President and Chief Executive Officer of Control Devices, said, “This acquisition represents another important step in our long-term growth strategy and reflects our commitment to supporting customers with reliable, high-performance solutions. Solenoid Solutions enhances our technical capabilities, expands our product portfolio and strengthens our ability to deliver system-critical flow control products across the markets we serve.”

Headquartered in the Greater St. Louis area, Control Devices designs and manufactures engineered flow control products for compressed gas, compressed air, oil and gas, and liquid control applications. The company provides customized valve solutions and related technologies designed to meet the needs of diverse industrial markets.

The addition of Solenoid Solutions further expands the engineered flow control capabilities of HBM Holdings, of which Control Devices is a portfolio company. The acquisition aligns with HBM Holdings’ strategy of investing in specialized manufacturing businesses with strong technical expertise, customer relationships and opportunities for long-term growth.

By combining Control Devices’ market reach and manufacturing capabilities with Solenoid Solutions’ specialized solenoid valve technology, the companies aim to deliver enhanced product offerings and broader support for customers requiring precision flow control solutions. The acquisition strengthens Control Devices’ position as a provider of engineered components for critical applications and expands its ability to serve customers across multiple industries through integrated product development, manufacturing expertise and application-focused solutions.
