Concord Control Systems Limited (BSE: CNCRD), a leading provider of railway electronics, embedded systems and critical control technologies, has announced that its associate company, Progota India Private Limited, has secured a ₹279.90 crore order from Indian Railways for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of onboard KAVACH 4.0 locomotive equipment. The order, scheduled for execution within 12 months, marks a significant milestone in Concord’s participation in India’s railway modernisation and safety enhancement initiatives. It also reinforces the company’s growing role in advanced train protection, signalling and safety technologies.

KAVACH, India’s indigenous Automatic Train Protection system, has emerged as one of the most important safety programmes undertaken by Indian Railways. The technology is designed to improve operational safety by helping prevent signal passing at danger, reducing collision risks and enhancing overall train protection capabilities across the railway network.

Commenting on the development, Gaurav Lath, Joint Managing Director of Concord Control Systems Limited, said the order reflects increasing confidence in the company’s technology capabilities and execution expertise. He noted that participation in KAVACH deployment strengthens Concord’s position within India’s evolving railway technology ecosystem and expands its presence in high-value safety-critical applications.

Nitin Jain, Joint Managing Director of the company, highlighted that successful execution of KAVACH 4.0 requires strong coordination across manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning activities. He stated that Concord’s teams are equipped to deliver the project within the prescribed timelines while maintaining stringent quality and reliability standards.

The contract further enhances Concord’s strategic positioning in areas such as embedded electronics, control systems, onboard train equipment and advanced railway safety solutions. It reflects the company’s ongoing transition from a conventional railway products manufacturer to a technology-focused engineering enterprise serving mission-critical railway applications.

India’s railway sector is currently witnessing unprecedented investment in safety systems, signalling infrastructure, train electronics and digital technologies. Programmes aimed at improving operational efficiency and passenger safety are creating long-term opportunities for companies specialising in advanced railway solutions.

Concord Control Systems has built its reputation through RDSO-approved products, engineering expertise, manufacturing excellence and strong testing capabilities. The company continues to expand its technology portfolio through innovation, strategic partnerships and a growing ecosystem of associate businesses. The latest KAVACH 4.0 order further strengthens Concord’s role in supporting India’s railway transformation agenda while creating a strong foundation for future growth in railway electronics, safety systems and next-generation mobility technologies.
