ColdStar Logistics has strengthened its presence in India’s fast-growing Tier II markets by opening new temperature-controlled distribution facilities in Patna, Guwahati and Lucknow. The expansion is part of the company’s long-term strategy to enhance cold-chain infrastructure closer to emerging consumption centres as demand for temperature-sensitive logistics continues to grow across food, healthcare, retail and quick commerce sectors.

With the addition of the three new facilities, ColdStar Logistics now operates a network of 45 distribution centres across the country, providing coverage to more than 109,000 pin codes. The company currently manages over one million square feet of warehousing infrastructure and plans to further increase capacity during the current financial year to support rising customer requirements across multiple industries.

Commenting on the expansion, Sameer Varma, Executive Director, ColdStar Logistics, said India’s consumption landscape is rapidly shifting beyond metropolitan cities, with businesses increasingly seeking efficient supply-chain solutions closer to regional markets. He noted that the new facilities have been established to improve service reach, shorten replenishment cycles and help customers scale their operations while ensuring consistent product availability across emerging markets.

The Guwahati facility, spread across 20,000 square feet in Kamrup, has been strategically developed to strengthen logistics connectivity across the Northeastern region, including Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur and neighbouring states. In Uttar Pradesh, the company has launched a 10,500-square-foot warehouse in Unnao along the Lucknow-Kanpur industrial corridor, providing access to one of North India’s fastest-growing consumption hubs. In Bihar, a new 5,000-square-foot facility has commenced operations in Anisabad, Patna, offering convenient connectivity through the Grand Trunk Road corridor and the Gaighat river route for faster regional distribution.

The new warehouses have been designed to support a wide range of industries, including FMCG, dairy, confectionery, processed foods, healthcare, retail and quick commerce. Each facility incorporates multi-temperature storage infrastructure with dedicated Ambient, Tropical, Chiller and Frozen zones, enabling efficient handling of products with varying temperature requirements from a single location.

All three facilities are integrated into ColdStar’s technology-driven operating platform, ensuring standardized processes, real-time monitoring and consistent service quality across its nationwide network. The company believes these investments will help businesses improve inventory availability, maintain product integrity and enhance supply-chain efficiency while reducing stock shortages in growing regional markets. The latest expansion reinforces ColdStar Logistics’ commitment to building a robust temperature-controlled supply-chain network across India, enabling businesses to serve customers in Tier II and Tier III cities with the same operational reliability and service standards available in major metropolitan markets.
