ColdStar Logistics, a leading player in India’s temperature-controlled supply chain industry, projects a sharp rise in quick commerce activity this festive season, with online order volumes expected to grow by 120% to 140% compared to the same period last year. This anticipated surge is being driven by a combination of favourable economic shifts — including recent income tax cuts, revised GST rates, and lower lending costs — all contributing to stronger consumer purchasing power during the festive period.

The sharp rise in demand is especially notable in categories such as frozen snacks, dairy products, packaged foods, and beverages, which are seeing accelerated movement through quick commerce platforms. Cold chains — critical to ensuring product quality in these segments — are playing a central role in enabling brands to scale rapidly and deliver reliably.

“Economic reforms have clearly given consumers more room to spend, and we’re seeing that reflected in order volumes,” said Sameer Varma, Executive Director, ColdStar Logistics. “Quick commerce has become the go-to choice for festive shopping, particularly for perishable items. Our end-to-end cold chain infrastructure gives brands the agility and confidence to respond to this demand without compromising on product quality or speed.”

ColdStar, which operates a cold chain network covering more than 7,000 pin codes, has heavily invested in smart logistics — including real-time temperature monitoring, predictive analytics, and AI-based inventory management. The company’s systems ensure product integrity from warehouse to doorstep, particularly during peak order cycles.

Looking back at last year’s festive season, brands that combined digital-first marketing strategies with reliable fulfillment saw the highest returns. This year, ColdStar believes operational readiness, especially in temperature-sensitive logistics, will be just as crucial to success. With 23 distribution centres across India and the ability to deliver over 1.2 million units a month, ColdStar’s infrastructure enables brands to minimise spoilage, optimise last-mile delivery, and meet tighter delivery windows — all while maintaining a 99.9% fill rate.

Established in 2011 by Tuscan Ventures, ColdStar Logistics is a certified (ISO 22000, FSSC) cold chain service provider offering temperature-controlled supply chain solutions across food, retail, and healthcare sectors. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies including AI and machine learning, the company serves more than 200 cities in India and supports a wide range of delivery models, including the growing demand for ultra-fast 15-minute deliveries.
