The CMES Indonesia International Machine Tool Exhibition will make its debut from July 2 to 4, 2026, at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) in Jakarta. Following the successful launch of its Vietnam edition in 2025, the expansion into Indonesia marks a strategic move to tap into one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing manufacturing markets.
Indonesia, the region’s largest economy, is undergoing a significant industrial transformation under its “Making Indonesia 4.0” roadmap. The country’s manufacturing sector is evolving from traditional production methods to high-precision, technology-driven processes. Key industries such as automotive, electronics, infrastructure, and renewable energy are driving demand for advanced machinery and smart manufacturing solutions.
Despite this growth, Indonesia’s domestic machine tool industry remains in an early stage of development, with a substantial portion of high-end equipment still imported. This creates a strong opportunity for global manufacturers to engage with local industries seeking reliable, high-quality solutions.
The exhibition will span over 15,000 square metres and will showcase a wide range of technologies, including metal cutting and forming machine tools, grinding equipment, machine tool accessories, and industrial automation and robotics systems. The event is expected to attract participants from across the manufacturing value chain, including sectors such as automotive components, electronics, home appliances, and general machinery.
Organized by one of China’s largest private exhibition groups, CMES brings over two decades of experience in hosting large-scale industrial events. Its exhibitions collectively attract hundreds of thousands of buyers each year, offering a proven platform for business engagement and industry networking.
The 2026 Jakarta edition will adopt a comprehensive online-to-offline engagement strategy. Digital outreach efforts will include collaborations with global and regional media platforms, along with content-driven campaigns such as live streaming and video promotions. Offline visibility will be enhanced through targeted outdoor advertising across key industrial zones and transportation hubs in Jakarta.
In addition, the event will leverage data-driven matchmaking tools to connect exhibitors with qualified buyers and decision-makers. Strategic partnerships with government bodies and industry associations will further support high-level discussions, including industry summits and international buyer meetings. With its focus on innovation, collaboration, and market access, the CMES Indonesia International Machine Tool Exhibition aims to become a key platform for advancing manufacturing capabilities and fostering industrial growth across Southeast Asia.
