Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) has announced the appointment of Uriel “Ose” Oseguera as Treasurer, effective November 1, 2026. He will succeed Navin Mahajan, who is retiring from Chevron after nearly three decades with the company. As Treasurer, Oseguera will lead Chevron’s treasury organisation, overseeing capital markets, corporate finance, insurance, credit and risk management. He will report to Eimear Bonner, Chevron’s Chief Financial Officer.
Mr Oseguera currently serves as Vice President, Upstream Business Performance & Finance. During his more than 35 years at Chevron, he has held several leadership positions spanning finance, treasury and planning across Venezuela, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and the United States. Before taking up his current position, Mr Oseguera served as General Manager of Chevron’s Financial Shared Services organisation, where he was responsible for financial operations and related functions.
Eimear Bonner, Chief Financial Officer, Chevron, said Mr Oseguera brings extensive treasury experience, international leadership and deep knowledge of Chevron to the role. She said his background in corporate finance, capital markets and global operations will support the company’s financial discipline, risk management and long-term value creation.
Mr Oseguera joined Chevron in 1990 and has built a career across a wide range of financial and business functions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and an MBA from Saint Mary’s College of California.
Mr Mahajan has served as Chevron’s Treasurer since 2019. During his career with the company, he held leadership roles in treasury, finance, compliance and business operations across multiple international markets. Ms Bonner thanked Mahajan for his contribution to Chevron, describing him as a trusted leader whose financial expertise, integrity and sound judgement strengthened the company and its Finance organisation. She noted his ability to manage complex challenges and make important decisions during critical periods. With the leadership transition, Chevron said its treasury organisation will continue to focus on maintaining a strong financial position, managing risk and supporting the company’s broader business strategy.
