BorgWarner Inc, a global leader in innovative and sustainable mobility solutions, has announced a seven-year extension of its controller supply agreement with a leading off-highway equipment manufacturer. The renewed contract, which runs through December 2032, covers the supply of eight families of controllers, including engine, machine, power module, and battery management system controllers.
The agreement reinforces a long-standing partnership between the two companies and supports a diverse range of applications spanning construction equipment, marine platforms, and stationary power systems. The extension comes as the OEM continues to expand its footprint across multiple end-use segments and accelerates its transition toward electrified solutions.
Commenting on the development, Dr. Stefan Demmerle, Vice President of BorgWarner Inc. and President and General Manager, PowerDrive Systems, highlighted the strength of the collaboration and its future potential. He noted that the continued engagement reflects mutual trust and shared ambitions to address evolving market demands. He also emphasized BorgWarner’s ability to deliver customized propulsion technologies that align with the customer’s growth strategy across both conventional and emerging platforms.
BorgWarner’s engine controllers are designed to optimize combustion efficiency while reducing emissions in large diesel engines. These systems integrate seamlessly with a wide array of sensors, actuators, and heavy-duty fuel injection technologies, ensuring reliable performance in demanding operating conditions.
The company’s machine controllers play a critical role in translating operator inputs into precise actuator movements, enabling smooth and safe operation of heavy machinery used in construction and excavation environments. In addition, BorgWarner will continue to supply power module controllers for electric machines, alongside advanced battery management system controllers, supporting the OEM’s electrification roadmap.
The expanded scope of supply highlights BorgWarner’s comprehensive capabilities across both traditional and electrified powertrain technologies. By delivering integrated and scalable solutions, the company remains well-positioned to support customers navigating the shift toward cleaner and more efficient mobility systems.
