Bondada Engineering Limited has announced its entry into the defence and aerospace sector through its wholly owned subsidiary, Bondada Dynamics Private Limited (BDPL), which has signed a Business Acquisition Agreement to acquire a 75% stake in KCS Engineering Solutions. The strategic investment marks a significant milestone in the company’s diversification strategy and strengthens its presence in high-technology engineering and advanced manufacturing.
Following the acquisition, the partners plan to convert KCS Engineering Solutions into a private limited company under the proposed name BKCS Technologies Private Limited, with the letter “B” representing Bondada. Once the conversion process is completed, BKCS Technologies will operate as a subsidiary of Bondada Dynamics and become part of the Bondada Group’s expanding technology portfolio.
The acquisition reflects Bondada Engineering’s long-term strategy of expanding beyond its core businesses in renewable energy, telecom infrastructure, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and digital infrastructure into strategic sectors that are expected to witness sustained growth. By entering the defence and aerospace industry, the company aims to contribute to India’s vision of strengthening indigenous manufacturing and technological self-reliance.
KCS Engineering Solutions specialises in the research, design, development, manufacturing, testing and integration of electronic and electro-mechanical systems for defence, aerospace and allied industries. Over the years, the company has developed strong engineering capabilities through collaborations with several leading government organisations and defence establishments, including the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO), and the Indian Armed Forces.
Commenting on the acquisition, Dr Bondada Raghavendra Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of Bondada Group, said the defence and aerospace sector presents significant opportunities, supported by government initiatives to promote indigenous technology and manufacturing. He stated that the partnership with KCS Engineering Solutions marks an important step in the company’s transformation into a high-technology engineering organisation. He added that the combined strengths of both companies will support the development of advanced solutions for India’s defence ecosystem while creating long-term value through innovation, quality and engineering excellence.
The acquisition provides Bondada Group with immediate access to specialised defence technologies, engineering expertise and an established customer base within the strategic sector. By combining Bondada’s project execution capabilities with KCS Engineering Solutions’ technical strengths, the company aims to accelerate product development, expand its manufacturing capabilities and pursue opportunities in defence and aerospace programmes in India and overseas.
