Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), a public sector engineering giant, clocked ₹27,350 crore in revenue for the financial year 2024–25, marking a 19% rise from the previous year. The company also reported its highest-ever yearly order intake, totaling ₹92,534 crore. By the end of FY25, BHEL’s total orders in hand reached ₹1,95,922 crore.
In the power sector, BHEL continued to dominate, bagging contracts worth ₹81,349 crore. Its industrial business added another ₹11,185 crore in fresh orders, reflecting demand across sectors like defence, railways, processing industries, and heavy machinery.
On the delivery side, BHEL completed or synced up 8.1 gigawatts of power capacity during the year, pointing to its ongoing push for timely project execution and efficiency. With solid revenue growth, a record order backlog, and a strong pipeline, BHEL is entering FY26 on a strong note. The company says it will keep focusing on infrastructure development, supporting local manufacturing, and creating long-term value.
