BharatRohan Airborne Innovations Limited (BSE: 544535) has secured a Type Certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for its unmanned aircraft system, Pravir-X6, in compliance with the Drone Rules, 2021. The certification confirms that the Pravir-X6 meets DGCA requirements related to design, construction, performance, and safety.
The approval was granted after a detailed evaluation conducted under the Certification Scheme for Unmanned Aircraft Systems issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. With this clearance, BharatRohan is now permitted to commercially market and sell the Pravir-X6 to eligible customers.
The Pravir-X6 is a small-category agricultural drone with a 10-litre payload capacity, designed to support modern farming practices. Its applications include precision spraying for targeted delivery of agrochemicals and reduced chemical usage through advanced nozzle systems and intelligent flight planning, helping lower costs and environmental impact.
The certification expands BharatRohan’s service ecosystem by integrating the Pravir-X6 with its proprietary CropAssure platform, which uses hyperspectral imaging to detect crop stress and pest infestations at an early stage. The drone enables immediate aerial treatment, creating a comprehensive “diagnose-and-treat” workflow for farmers and agribusinesses.
