Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced robust financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2026, posting a sharp rise in profitability backed by higher execution and improved demand across key business segments. For the quarter under review, the company recorded a profit after tax of ₹1,290.47 crore, marking a substantial year-on-year increase of 155.81 per cent compared to ₹504.45 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Revenue from operations for the quarter stood at ₹12,310.37 crore, registering a growth of 36.88 per cent over ₹8,993.37 crore in the same period last year. The strong quarterly performance reflects improved project execution, operational efficiencies, and a steady pickup in order flows, particularly in the power sector.

On a full-year basis, BHEL delivered a significant improvement in financial performance during FY26. The company reported a profit after tax of ₹1,600.26 crore, nearly tripling from ₹533.90 crore recorded in FY25, translating into a growth of 199.73 per cent year-on-year. Revenue from operations for the fiscal rose to ₹33,782.18 crore, up 19.20 per cent compared to ₹28,339.48 crore in the previous year.

The company’s growth during the year was primarily driven by strong momentum in its core power business. Revenue from the power segment increased to ₹25,406.71 crore in FY26, reflecting a 21 per cent rise over ₹20,937.25 crore in FY25. This growth was supported by higher execution levels across ongoing projects and improved demand conditions in the sector.

BHEL’s industry segment also contributed steadily to the overall performance. Revenue from this segment rose to ₹8,375.47 crore during FY26, up 13 per cent from ₹7,402.23 crore recorded in the previous financial year. The company’s performance underscores its continued focus on strengthening execution capabilities, expanding its presence across sectors, and capitalising on emerging opportunities in India’s infrastructure and energy landscape.
