Bartronics India Limited has received board approval to acquire a 51% stake in AYOU, a fresh produce brand operated by Shree NagaNarasimha Pvt Ltd (SNN). Headquartered in Bengaluru, AYOU is an organised player in fresh produce aggregation and processing. The investment marks Bartronics’ entry into structured agricultural trade under its Project Avio Agritech initiative and expands its participation across the fresh produce supply chain.
AYOU sources fruits and vegetables directly from farmers, farmer producer organisations (FPOs), mandis, and collection centres. The company handles grading and processing before supplying products to leading quick commerce and modern retail platforms. Its customer base includes Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, Ninjacart, More Retail, and other organised retail partners, positioning AYOU as a key supplier within the rapidly growing quick commerce segment.
The company operates a 6,000 sq ft grading and processing facility in Bengaluru with a capacity of up to 900 tonnes per month, supported by sourcing hubs across multiple agricultural regions. While demand from organised buyers has remained strong, expansion has been limited by working capital constraints. Bartronics’ investment is expected to support scale-up across aggregation volumes, processing capabilities, and trade cycles, while enabling the introduction of new SKUs and higher-value processed categories.
Beyond domestic expansion, Bartronics and AYOU are jointly assessing export opportunities, with Dubai under consideration as a potential base for premium fruit and vegetable exports. The partnership is also evaluating selective imports of dry fruits and exotic produce, creating a two-way agri trade corridor. Singapore and other international markets are being reviewed as part of a longer-term growth plan.
Commenting on the transaction, N Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director, Bartronics India Limited, said the investment represents a move from strategy to execution under Project Avio Agritech. He noted that AYOU’s established demand relationships and operating platform provide a strong foundation to build capabilities in aggregation, processing, exports, and agri-commerce.
AYOU is led by co-founders K Ramagopal, an entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in agri supply chains, and Anand Kumar, a farmer and sustainability-focused operator with deep expertise in producer engagement.
