Bajaj has launched its much-awaited CNG motorcycle, the Freedom 125. It is the first CNG bike in India and worldwide. The Freedom 125 is priced at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom) for the base model and goes up to Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top variant.

The Freedom 125 is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 9.5hp at 8,000rpm and 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm. It can run on both CNG and petrol, with a switch to toggle between the two. The bike has a claimed range of 330km. The petrol tank holds 2 liters, while the CNG tank holds 2kg, weighing 18kg when full. Bajaj claims a mileage of 102km per kg on CNG and 65kpl on petrol.

The bike features a trellis frame to protect the CNG tank, weighing a total of 147kg, which is 16kg heavier than the CT125X. It has a telescopic fork at the front, a linked monoshock at the rear, and an 825mm seat height.

The Freedom 125 has a minimalist yet rugged design with a full LED headlight and taillight, halogen indicators, and a monochrome LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity. It has a large flap on the tank for easy access to both fuel tanks and the air filter.

The bike comes in three variants: Disc LED, Drum LED, and Drum, with seven dual-tone color options. It features a 785mm single-piece seat, which Bajaj claims is the longest in its segment. Bookings are open from today at all dealerships and on the Bajaj website.

The Freedom 125 has passed 11 safety tests and will be exported to countries including Egypt, Tanzania, Colombia, Peru, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.
