Bajaj Auto has officially confirmed the launch date of its much-anticipated CNG-powered motorcycle in India. At the unveiling event of the Pulsar NS400Z, the company announced that the innovative two-wheeler will hit the Indian market on June 18, 2024. This marks a significant milestone as it will not only be Bajaj’s debut in the CNG bike segment but also India’s first mass-market offering to run on compressed natural gas.

Dubbed the Bruzer, the upcoming motorcycle is poised to cater to the daily commuter segment, evident from its design and features. Spy shots of the test mule revealed dimensions similar to that of 110-125cc motorcycles, indicating its practicality for everyday use. The camouflaged bike showcased a bulbous fuel tank, a flat and long seat, a chunky grab rail, and a braced handlebar with knuckle guards. Additionally, LED headlamps and tail lamps were visible, hinting at modern lighting elements, with expectations for a digital console as well.

In terms of hardware, the Bruzer appears to feature a basic setup. It is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, complemented by narrow tires and a small front disc brake. While the front suspension setup remained concealed, it is anticipated to be of the conventional telescopic type, with a monoshock suspension at the rear. Safety features are expected to include a single-channel ABS setup, ensuring optimal braking performance.

Although pricing details are yet to be disclosed, Bajaj’s reputation for offering competitively priced bikes suggests that the CNG motorcycle will be accessible to a wide range of customers. With its innovative technology and commitment to affordability, the Bruzer aims to revolutionize the Indian motorcycle market and pave the way for sustainable mobility solutions.
