AXISCADES Technologies Limited has announced the transfer of its Engineering Services practice serving the Heavy Engineering, Energy and Automotive sectors to Akkodis, marking the first major step in the company’s transition towards becoming a focused aerospace manufacturing and products-driven enterprise. The transaction forms part of AXISCADES’ long-term strategic roadmap, under which the company plans to sharpen its focus on aerospace engineering, aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and proprietary Electronics, Sensors and AI (ESAI) solutions.
Under the agreement, Akkodis will acquire 100 percent of AXISCADES’ Engineering Services business catering to the Heavy Engineering, Energy and Automotive verticals. The total transaction value is estimated at approximately US$30.63 million, including performance-linked earnouts payable in cash over a multi-year period. The deal is expected to close during the third quarter of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
AXISCADES stated that the divestment will unlock capital and management bandwidth, enabling the company to strengthen its core aerospace and manufacturing capabilities. The proceeds will be utilised to support the company’s “Power 930” strategic roadmap, including expansion of manufacturing infrastructure at the Devanahalli Atmanirbhar Complex (DAC) and Missile Atmanirbhar Complex (MAC), along with investments in strategic acquisitions focused on high-margin manufacturing and product businesses.
The company noted that the transition also ensures continuity for customers and employees associated with the transferred businesses. Employees aligned with these verticals are expected to move to Akkodis, where they will gain access to broader global opportunities and large-scale engineering programs across multiple international markets. Akkodis, which operates with more than 40,000 engineers and digital experts across over 30 countries, is expected to integrate the acquired practice into its global engineering consulting operations.
Commenting on the development, Dr Sampath Ravi Narayanan said the transaction represents the beginning of a strategic transformation that the company has been outlining to shareholders over the past several quarters. He said the move allows AXISCADES to monetise value from its engineering services business while strengthening its focus on aerospace manufacturing and products-led growth platforms. He added that Akkodis was identified as the right strategic partner to take forward the engineering services operations due to its scale, global presence and engineering depth.
