AVG Logistics Limited has announced the launch of a dedicated green transport corridor for Nestlé India in collaboration with Ashok Leyland, marking a significant step toward cleaner and more efficient logistics operations. As part of this initiative, 50 CNG-powered trucks have been deployed to support Nestlé India’s supply chain.
The fleet is expected to operate approximately 2.75 lakh kilometres per month and reduce carbon emissions by nearly 1.1 lakh kilograms of CO₂ annually. The transition to CNG vehicles is aimed at lowering environmental impact while improving fuel efficiency and cost effectiveness.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment by all three organizations to promote sustainable transportation practices without compromising operational performance. By adopting alternative fuel vehicles at scale, the project enhances supply chain reliability while contributing to India’s broader sustainability goals.
AVG Logistics expressed its appreciation to the Nestlé India leadership, including Varun Gupta, Supply Chain Director – Nestlé SAR, and Balbir S Bhalla, Head of Physical Logistics – SAR, for their continued guidance and support.
