Avaada Group has surpassed 17.7 GWp in its renewable energy portfolio, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion across India’s clean energy sector. The portfolio includes more than 7.2 GWp of operational renewable energy capacity and approximately 10.5 GWp currently under construction across multiple projects and technologies.
The company added over 2 GWp of renewable energy capacity during FY 2025-26, reflecting continued growth in its solar, wind, hybrid, and energy storage businesses. Avaada Group has been expanding its presence across integrated clean energy solutions aimed at supporting India’s rising demand for sustainable and reliable power.
The company’s renewable energy portfolio spans solar projects, wind farms, solar-wind hybrid installations, and solar-plus-storage systems designed to deliver stable and round-the-clock clean power supply. Through its diversified energy mix, Avaada is focusing on supporting industrial, commercial, and utility-scale energy requirements while contributing to India’s long-term decarbonisation objectives.
Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, said the global energy landscape continues to face uncertainty, making energy security and sustainable power generation increasingly important for countries worldwide. He noted that crossing the 17.7 GWpmilestone reflects the company’s long-term commitment to accelerating the transition toward clean energy solutions.
Mr Mittal added that Avaada’s strong execution capabilities, expanding project pipeline, and diversified technology portfolio position the company for rapid growth across different geographies and renewable energy segments. He stated that the company remains focused on delivering affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions aligned with India’s economic growth and climate commitments.
According to company estimates, Avaada’s operational renewable energy capacity of more than 7.2 GWp is capable of supplying electricity to over 20 lakh households. The operational projects are also expected to contribute significantly toward reducing dependence on fossil fuel-based power generation.
By replacing conventional thermal power sources with renewable energy, the company estimates that its current operational capacity can help avoid more than 10 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions annually. The reduction in greenhouse gas emissions supports India’s broader climate targets and clean energy transition strategy.
India’s renewable energy sector has continued to witness strong growth driven by increasing investments, supportive policy initiatives, and rising corporate demand for clean power. Companies such as Avaada Group are playing a key role in expanding renewable infrastructure while integrating emerging technologies such as hybrid systems and energy storage solutions.
Avaada Group is a leading Indian conglomerate focused on sustainable energy solutions, primarily specializing in renewable energy generation, storage, and distribution. With a strong presence in the solar power sector, the company is committed to driving India’s transition to a greener and more sustainable future.
