Avaada Group, a leading clean energy conglomerate, took part in the Millionaire Farmer of India (MFOI) Awards 2025 held from December 7–9 at IARI, Pusa, New Delhi. The platform recognised outstanding farmers who have created successful agri-businesses and brought together forward-looking growers, agritech innovators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders driving the next phase of India’s agricultural transformation.

Avaada’s presence at the event highlighted its commitment to empowering rural communities and supporting sustainable, clean-energy-driven farming—from deploying solar-powered irrigation to strengthening agricultural value chains. As part of its broader mission to boost farm efficiency and output, the Group has been solarising farms in Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0).

The programme provides dependable daytime power for thousands of irrigation pumps, ending the dependence on night-time operations and helping farmers plan their crop cycles more effectively. At the event, Sarpanchs and farmers from various districts were felicitated for their exemplary contributions to agriculture.

Commenting on Avaada’s participation, Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, said: “Participating in the MFOI Awards 2025 allowed us to honour India’s most forward-thinking farmers. We are demonstrating how reliable clean energy can uplift rural communities while supporting the nation’s green energy ambitions. From Pune to Yavatmal, and Solapur to Nashik, our renewable energy projects are transforming lives across Maharashtra. Every solar and hybrid project deepens our engagement with farmers—enhancing productivity, strengthening livelihoods, and lighting up villages with sustainable power.”

In line with its expanding commitment to sustainable agriculture, Avaada Group is currently developing more than 1,132 MW of solar projects across key districts including Nashik, Pune, Sangli, Yavatmal, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Amravati, Hingoli, and Beed. These undertakings reaffirm the Group’s strong alignment with MSKVY 2.0 and its role in transforming rural energy access. In communities such as Bhenda, Ranjangaon, Najik Chincholi, and Mhasale, Avaada’s renewable energy solutions have already helped thousands of farmers reduce diesel dependence, improve irrigation efficiency, and boost farm productivity.
